The Nelson Earth Run Beneficiary is Earth Matters. Earth Matters is an environmental program based in Nelson, BC. Our mission is to inspire and support lifestyles that are environmentally responsible and beneficial to human health.
Earth Run is pleased to be a Friend of Live Earth, in support of their Run for Water initiative which is helping raise awareness of the global access to clean water crisis. We will be raising funds for the the Wasrag (Water & Sanitation Rotarian Action Group in Canada) and we encourage everyone to learn more.

Meet at Lakeside Park at 7.00 am and join in with an invigorating Yoga Session followed by the Earth Run along the shores of Kootenay Lake up to the Distance Eduction School of the Kootenays (Central School) on 811 Stanley Street. There you can enjoy a yummy FREE pancake breakfast prior to all the daytime entertainment, vendors, speakers and kids activities.
We carry on with celebrations into the night at the Cottonwood Park with a variety of workshops, hands-on mural artwork and the talents of two fun-loving, foot-stomping bands, the White Lightning Blues Band and Brian Rosen and the WhatNots...
